This Month's Featured Build is...

We met with our client who had a typical builder back yard patio constructed with the house that measured approximately 18 feet by 8 feet. This left little area for a patio table without falling off the concrete. There was also a center post that also blocked the living area of the patio.

We designed a masonry curved grilling peninsula with sink, raised bar and under counter refrigerator toped with a wonderful flowing 3cm granite. We removed the center post and placed a hand scrapped cedar 6x12 beam posts and corbels to match. The grill is a Kitchen Aid built in grill with storage drawers and a bonus warming drawer. Under the sink is an hand scrapped custom built cedar access door for the plumbing connections for winterizing.

We removed the existing concrete prior to pouring the patio extension of stamped and acid stained concrete. We added a matching walk way to the fence gate to the front yard. Framing in the new patio with masonry seat walls capped with flagstone is a great finishing touch.

Now they have a very functional outdoor living space that is warm and inviting, suitable to entertain many friends and family.
